Singer-songwriter John Denver touched millions of people. He also achieved the status of a superstar with his folk-based pop songs many of them based in Colorado. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. was born in Roswell in New Mexico. He fell in love Colorado and moved to Aspen. A few took the road through Colorado following the Denver's cult tunes for the state he was raised in. G. Brown, curator of Colorado Music Hall of Fame declared that John Denver is the only musician to truly embody Colorado. Denver was a member of the Hall of Fame as its initial member in the year 2011. For many, Denver is the image of Colorado. You meet people in different countries, such as New Zealanders and tell them "I come from Colorado" then they immediately react with Oh John Denver. Brown declared. Take Me Home Country Roads is Denver's only Top 10 Hit as a Solo Artist following his time in small Folk Music Groups. The song was written with Bill Danoff. Danoff composed the track with Johnny Cash in mind but the moment Denver saw an early rendition it was clear that the track could become an instant hit. After singing to an enthusiastic crowd in Washington D.C., the artist recorded the song.
